By now some may be curious about where our lady members are from. Most of them live in Vitebsk, which is a little town located in the north-east of Belarus. A simple peaceful town where most of the people just walk or use public transportation to get to places instead of driving. The walks not only provide good exercise, the scenic views makes them most enjoyable. I used to love walking on the old brick streets lined with old buildings, the old and new orthodox churches, and of course eyeing the pretty Russian ladies 🙂 To a visitor it would seem as if they went back in time as it is just so different from any city in US. The country’s relaxed atmosphere just makes you appreciates life that much better.

Slavyanski Bazaar is an event a new comer has to be present at. Its a week during summer when most of the inhabitants of Vitebsk show off their arts crafts, have a ton of fun partying, and going to the concerts which last the whole week. Many famous singers from Russia and nearby countries come to the event to sing, the crowds are immense, and so is the fun. If you are to visit Vitebsk this is the time of the year that you would want to come during, you will get many souvenirs.
